1、把原文中的兩個或兩個以上的簡單句譯成一個單句。

Eg:

His father had a small business in the city of Pisa. This city is in the north of Italy near the sea.

2、把原文中的主從復合句譯成單句。

Eg:

One must study hard before one could succeed in mastering a foreign language.

一個人必須勤學苦練，才能精通一種外國語言。

3、把定語從句譯成狀語從句。

Eg:

He insisted on building another house, which he had no use for.
