時間介詞，包含時間點和時間段兩子類。

1. 表示時間點。常用介詞on, in, at.

at:用于很短的時間和準確的數字前面。例如:

a. 用于具體的鐘點前: at 10:00; at 5:45

b. 用于短暫的時刻前: at noon/ night/ midday/ midnight; at dusk（黃昏）/ sunset; at dawn（黎明）/ sunrise/ daybreak （黎明）

c. 用于進餐的時間前: at breakfast/lunch/supper（在早餐時/午餐時/晚餐時）

d. 用于年齡前面: at 14 =at the age of 14

e. 用于一些固定搭配中: at Christmas ·at New Year; at Thanksgiving（感恩節）

at first（起初） ·at last（終于）; at the moment此時此刻; at that/this time; at this time of last summer; at a good/bad time of year; at the beginning/end of this month;

on:用于某天或者某幾天。例如:

a. 用于日期前: on May 20th; on September 10th; on the morning of October 1, 1997; on the first day of summer holiday; on a sunny morning.

b. 用于星期前: on Saturday; on Sundays/weekdays/weekends

on Monday morning; on the afternoon of Thursday

on weekends = on the weekend = at weekends

c. 用于節假日前: on Teachers’ Day; on Christmas Day／Eve; on National Day; on Tom’s birthday

注意:

1.on holiday; on vacation: on表示正處于，正在進行中。

2. at: 指前后一段較短時間; at New Year（在新年期間） at Christmas （在圣誕節期間）

on: 指就在這一天; on New Year’s Day（在元旦那天） on Christmas Day （在圣誕節）

in: 表示一段較長時間內。

a. 用于泛指一天的上午、下午、傍晚: in the morning/afternoon/evening

b. 用于某個較長的時間: 年/月/季節 ·in May; ·in spring; ·in 2020; in the 21st century

· in the 2010s; in Tom’s fifties

注意:

in the morning 指的并不是在某天的早上，而是每天早上。泛指、具有普遍性。

具體的某天早上必須用介詞on: on Saturday morning = on the morning of Saturday

on the morning of teachers’ day; on the morning of may 12th; on a warm sunny morning

in the beginning/end: 泛指事情開始的開頭/結尾，如果涉及到具體某件事，就必須用介詞at:

at the beginning/end of….在…開始/結束時。

2. 表示時間段。常用介詞: during, ago, later, in, for, within, over

during: 持續、貫穿一段較長的時間= throughout; throughout: 貫穿始終，是during的強調形式。

in: 僅僅表示在這段時間內，可能是某一天，可能是某一周，時間長短無法確定。

during 1942: 在1942年一整年; in 1942: 在1942年這一年;

during the summer: 在整個夏天; in summer: 在夏天

during his childhood: 在他整個同年; in his childhood: 在他小時候

for: 在一段時間內持續進行，與延續性動詞連用: for a whole day; for 2 weeks; for 3 months; for 5 years; for ever: 永遠

within= in: 在這段時間之內。within 5 days; within a month
