Riding a Moped

騎電動車

Mom: I bought a moped.

媽媽：我買了一輛電動車。

Do you want to take a look?

你想看看嗎？

Child: Wow, it looks cool.

寶寶：哇，它看起來很酷。

Mom: Yes. You are going to preschool next week.

媽媽：是的。你下星期要上幼兒園了。

Mommy is planning to ride that moped to drop you off and pick you up.

媽媽準(zhǔn)備騎這輛電動車接送你。

That way, we can skip the traffic jams that happen when driving a car,

這樣我們既能避免開車的堵車問題，

and it is less strenuous than riding a bike.

又比騎自行車省勁兒。

Mommy only needs to twist the handlebar and the moped can go by itself.

媽媽只要擰一擰車把，車子就可以自己走了。

Child: Awesome!

寶寶：太棒了！

? Getting Ready to Ride 準(zhǔn)備出發(fā)

Mom: First, we have to put on our helmets.

媽媽：首先，我們要戴上頭盔。

Child: Why do we have to wear a helmet?

寶寶：我們?yōu)槭裁匆黝^盔呢？

Mom: Because our head is very fragile.

媽媽：因?yàn)槲覀兊念^部很脆弱。

Once hit, it could be fatal.

一旦受到撞擊，就會是致命的。

The speed of mopeds is very fast,

電動車速度太快了，

and we must protect our heads just in case.

Child: Understood!

Mom: Get on the moped!

Can you get on it by yourself?

你能自己上來嗎？

Child: I dont think so.

寶寶：好像不行。

Mom: Let Mommy help you up.

媽媽：媽媽抱你上來吧。

Move your feet in a bit - theres no space left for me to put my feet.

腳往里挪挪，我沒地方放腳了。

Grab the handle of the childs seat and off we go!

抓緊兒童座椅的把手，出發(fā)啦！

如果是大一點(diǎn)的孩子，坐在后座上，可以說：Hold on to Mommys waist.扶住媽媽的腰。

? Riding the Moped 騎行中

Mom: How do you feel?

媽媽：感覺怎么樣？

Are you scared?

害怕嗎？

Mommy can ride a bit slower.

媽媽可以騎慢點(diǎn)。

Child: Im not scared at all - Im very brave.

寶寶：一點(diǎn)也不害怕，我很勇敢。

I can feel the cool wind blowing by!

我覺得風(fēng)吹得很涼快呢！

Mom: It seems Im riding too fast.

媽媽：看來我騎得太快了。

Theres a speed bump coming up, youll feel it.

前面有個(gè)減速帶，會癲一下。

Hold on tight!

扶好了！

Child: Okay, Mom.

寶寶：好的，媽媽。

? A car appears suddenly, so Mom brakes hard and quickly

突然出來一輛車，媽媽急剎車

Mom: Ah, that was close.

媽媽：啊呀，好險(xiǎn)。

Are you okay?

你沒事吧？

Child: Im fine, but you need to go a little slower!

寶寶：沒事，但是你得慢點(diǎn)騎呀！

Mom: Yes, Mommy has to practice more!

媽媽：是啊，媽媽還得多練習(xí)！

I should try to ride alongside the sidewalk.

我應(yīng)該盡量靠邊騎。

When we make a turn or cross an intersection, I should slow down and make sure there are no cars passing by.

我們拐彎和過路口的時(shí)候，我應(yīng)該減速，確定沒有車再過。

We shouldnt ride on the main road and should also give way to pedestrians.

我們不能在主路上騎，還要禮讓行人。

Child: Moms the best!

寶寶：媽媽是最棒的！

Mom: By the way, is it hot under your helmet?

媽媽：對了，戴著頭盔熱不熱啊？

Just hang on a little longer and we will be there shortly.

再堅(jiān)持一下就到了。

Child: A little, but I can make it!

寶寶：有一點(diǎn)，但是我可以的！

Mom: Good girl!

媽媽：好孩子！

? Getting Off the Moped 下車

Child: Here we are!

寶寶：到啦！

Mom: Dont move until Mommy has stopped the moped completely.媽媽：先不要?jiǎng)樱葖寢尠衍囃７€(wěn)了。

Ill get off first and put up the kickstand.

我先下來，把車支子支上。

Child: Can I get off myself?

寶寶：我可以自己下來嗎？

Mom: Of course, but you have to hold on to Mommy and get off slowly.

媽媽：當(dāng)然可以，但是你要扶著媽媽，慢慢下來。

Now we can take off our helmets.
