1. heating pad

暖寶寶就是一種發(fā)熱貼，加上pad有“墊，襯墊”的意思，那heating pad就可以形容暖寶寶了！

因為暖寶寶可在空氣中氧氣的作用下發(fā)生放熱反應，exothermic就表示“發(fā)熱的；放出熱量的”，而padding也有“填充物;襯墊”的意思，所以也可以譯為exothermic padding。

2. in the dark

be in the dark形容“蒙在鼓里，渾然不知”，keep sb in the dark形容“將事隱瞞不使人知道”。

We were kept completely in the dark about his plan to sell the company.
