不定代名詞表示不特定的人或物，或表示不特定數(shù)量的人或物之代名詞。

多數(shù)不定代名詞若后接名詞，則稱(chēng)為不定形容詞，如 one, another, some, any…等等，但也有些無(wú)法轉(zhuǎn)換為不定形容詞，如 none, everything, someone… 等。以下將介紹幾個(gè)常用的不定代名詞，拿起筆記本吧！

one 為了代替敘述中不特定的人或物，避免名詞的重復(fù)，復(fù)數(shù)為 ones.

(1) 表示不特定的人

The students who do best in the exam are not necessarily the brightest ones.

考試成績(jī)好的學(xué)生不一定是腦筋最好的學(xué)生。

one 當(dāng)主詞時(shí)，后接的代名詞原則上會(huì)用 one, one’s, oneself，也可以用 he, his, himself 取代

One shouldn’t overwork oneself.

人不要讓自己操勞過(guò)度。

One should not plead inexperience in excuse of his mistake.

一個(gè)人不應(yīng)該借口缺乏經(jīng)驗(yàn)來(lái)為其錯(cuò)誤辯解。

(2) 表示不特定的物

· one and the same 一樣的

In one and the same tunnel, a lot of different scenes were shot.

在同樣的一節(jié)隧道中，劇組將拍攝大量不同的鏡頭。

· one or two 一、兩個(gè)

Most people have one or two passwords that they use across all of their accounts.

大多數(shù)人他們使用的所有賬戶都有一個(gè)或者兩個(gè)密碼。

· it’s all one 沒(méi)有什么不同

He can protest if he wants to，it’s all one to me.

他大可以抗議，那對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)沒(méi)什么。

· by ones and twos 三三兩兩地

After class, the students walk out of the classroom by ones and twos.

下課后，學(xué)生三三兩兩地走出教室。

(1) another 為不特定的單數(shù)代名詞，未限制范圍，意思為「任何另外一個(gè)」。

To know is one thing, to practice is another.

知道是一回事，去做又是另一回事。

(2) others 為不特定復(fù)數(shù)，未限制范圍，意思為「任何其他人或物」

Be kind to others.

寬以待人。

(3) 慣用法

· one after another 接二連三地

Misfortunes always come one after another.

壞事成雙。

· every other 每隔一天、一周等

I do an hour of aerobics every other day.

我每?jī)商熳鲆粋€(gè)小時(shí)的有氧舞蹈。

· one from the other 二者中之區(qū)別

I can’t tell one twin from the other. They look just the same.

我無(wú)法區(qū)別那對(duì)雙胞胎，他們看起來(lái)根本一模一樣。

· on the other hand 另一方面

On the other hand, if we can prevent ourselves from doing the unnecessary, we will have more time to do the right things.

· some day or other 有一天

Some day or other you will fall in love with me.

總有一天你會(huì)愛(ài)上我的。

(1) the other 為特定范圍的單數(shù)

比如說(shuō)，比較某人的兩肩膀的高度：

He has one shoulder a little higher than the other.

他的一個(gè)肩比另一個(gè)肩略高一點(diǎn)。

(2) the others 為特定范圍的復(fù)數(shù)

In ability she towers over all the others in her team.

她的能力勝過(guò)團(tuán)隊(duì)內(nèi)所有其他人。

這臺(tái) CD 機(jī)有三種音響效果。一種是流行，另外一種是爵士，還有一種是搖滾。

如果有「四個(gè)或以上」不同對(duì)象，就是 one…, another…, another…, and the other 如此延續(xù)下去

I saw four sweaters. One is red, another is blue, another is white, and the other is green.

我看到四件毛衣，一件是紅的，一件是藍(lán)的，一件是白的，一件是綠的。(因?yàn)槊總€(gè)顏色不同，所以一 一點(diǎn)出)

· one…, another…, and the others 表示為「一個(gè)…一個(gè)…剩下的全部」

我看到四件毛衣，一件是紅的，一件是藍(lán)的，其他是白的。(白色數(shù)量超過(guò)一件，不需要一一點(diǎn)出)

· some…, others… 為「有些…另一些…」

The students on the playground are energetic. Some are running, others are playing basketball.

· some…, the others 有些…其余的另一些…

Some speak French, the others speak Japanese.

有些人講法語(yǔ)，其余的人講日語(yǔ)。
